  • File Sender service

    With File Sender Service you can send files in different formats and temporarily store up to 4GB.

    The service is available to institutions with IdP integrated in the RCTS-AAI, researchers, professors and students.

  • TERENA CONFERENCE 2012

  • IPv6 at RCTS

    The number of native RCTS connections has reached 29, in a global set of 84 organisations. This represents a current coverage of 34,5%. In terms of IPv6 traffic, the volume carried by RCTS grew significantly since the beginning of 2012.
    RCTS members, on their main domains, already have 11 WWW servers, 21 authoritative DNS servers and 13 E-MAIL reception servers compatible with IPv6

  • 28.984 new domain names

    28.984 new domain names were registered under .pt since the liberalization took effect.

  • VoIP@RCTS telephone numbers in the ENUM Golden Tree

    The VoIP@RCTS DIDs (Direct Inward Dialing) are now populated in the public ENUM tree 1.5.3.e164.arpa, also known as the Golden Tree. About 40 000 DIDs can now be queried with ENUM by any user through the internet and place calls to the VoIP@RCTS network free of charge.

  • New connections to GÉANT

    On April 4th, the new 10Gbps circuit connecting RCTS to the GÉANT network in Madrid was commissioned.
    This new circuit has lower latency when compared with the previous installed circuit, due to a better geographic path. There is also an expectation that this Lisbon-Madrid circuit reveals itself to be more stable than the previous, given the suppliers involved are different.This migration is part of an effort to strengthen RCTS.
