THE BRIDGES project “Cultural Bridge”, from CIDEHUS – Interdisciplinary Center for History, Cultures and Societies of the University of Évora, has the collaboration of Arquivo.pt, a digital service of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), developed by its digital services unit FCCN, to preserve and analyze content from Web Portuguese (Brazil): articles on women, immigration, and conspiracy theories.
Led by principal investigator María Zozaya, the project is part of the competition. Science for Policy, an initiative of the Center for Planning and Evaluation of Public Policies, in partnership with the Foundation for Science and Technology (PLANAPP-FCT, S4P25-LT 24) and funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan. Its objective is to mobilize scientific knowledge in the service of public policies.
Within the scope of this collaboration, the Arquivo.pt has been providing educational content on digital preservation and building thematic collections that reflect the central themes of the project.The representation of women, immigration, the inclusion of disadvantaged people, people with disabilities and neurodivergences, and the regional blogosphere of Alentejo.

One of the highlights of the collaboration was the work “Narrative MonitoringAnalysis of Population Replacement Conspiracy Theories in the Archives Web "Portuguese (1996 – 2021)", authored by Erik Bran Marino, Rafael Prezado, Ana Sofia Ribeiro, and Renata Vieira, researchers at CIDEHUS. The project was awarded 3rd place in the Arquivo.pt 2025 Prize., recognizing its merit as an example of the use of Arquivo.pt in the context of academic research.
The results were presented by the authors, together with the digital curator of Arquivo.pt, at the II International Seminar of the BRIDGES Project, held between April 15 and 17 under the motto "I have a dream"In light of diversity: art, culture, public policies and the digital world," illustrating the synergy between scientific research and the mission of preserving the memory of the world.eb.

THE digital curator of Arquivo.pt It also addressed the topic "Data on multiracial diversity in Arquivo.pt," showing how the Web has functioned as a space for freedom of expression, affirmation, and advocacy over the last few decades.
The results of Narrative Monitoring They are available for consultation and interaction on the Narrative Monitor website, where it is possible, among other features, to conduct a quiz about the narratives analyzed.
The project and its activities received mention in regional media, including on the Arquivo.pt website itself, contributing to the public visibility of the research developed within the partnership between the University of Évora and Arquivo.pt.
