Next On July 14th, UPTEC – Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto will host the workshop “BSC AI Factory: AI and Supercomputing at the Service of Innovation”., an initiative managed by the National Center for Advanced Computing (CNCA) and the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises, startups, researchers and technology professionals who wish to explore the potential of Artificial Intelligence supported by advanced computing infrastructures.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about IA BSC FactoryThis is a European initiative funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan, which provides access to high-performance computing resources, expertise, and cutting-edge infrastructure to accelerate the development of Artificial Intelligence solutions. The workshop will also present the opportunities offered by national and European advanced computing resources, including supercomputers. Deucalion and Mare Nostrum 5 as well as the vision for the new national data center.
The program also includes a demonstration of the Deucalion supercomputer, allowing participants to experience its operation and capabilities firsthand, as well as presentations of use cases by companies already using advanced computing to develop innovative products and services. Among the highlighted examples are Infinite Foundry and PPA-LeaderTek, startups incubated at UPTEC, which will share their experience in using these technologies to enhance innovation and competitiveness.
In addition to the technical sessions, the event aims to promote knowledge sharing and the establishment of new connections between companies, academia, and entities within the innovation ecosystem, culminating in a networking session for participants.
