Applications are open for the Innovation Hub, The FCCN Conference stage gives voice to innovative projects, ideas, and experiences from the community.Through short and dynamic presentations, the aim is to promote direct contact between speakers and participants during breaks between the various sessions throughout the three days of the event.
This more intimate space, with capacity to accommodate around 30 people in the audience.It is located next to the entrance of the Main Hall of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Porto. The presentations are taking place. in an informal and accessible format, extending the debate from the sessions on technological trends and the challenges of Higher Education and Research Institutions to the moments of networking.

If you have a project, challenge, or idea that you would like to present to the community attending the FCCN 2026 Conference, You can now apply to go on stage at Innovation Hub.
All event participants are invited to take part in this event as speakers. Presentations should have a maximum duration of 15 minutes, prioritizing clear and direct communication, and They should fall within one of the areas under discussion at the meeting.: Connectivity, Security, Knowledge, Collaboration, and Computing.

The return of a stage characterized by diversity.
THE Innovation Hub It was first introduced at the 2025 edition of the FCCN Conference in Coimbra. In its debut, the stage hosted 10 performances, standing out for diversity of projects presented.
The application of Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education and Research institutions, innovation, technological entrepreneurship, and the role of open platforms in digital collaboration were some of the topics addressed. The program also included sessions presenting projects related to digital skills for the job market, network automation, multimedia tools, and collaboration programs between academia and companies.
Regarding the FCCN 2026 Conference
To the FCCN Conferences They are the annual meeting point for the Higher Education and Research community, managers and users of the digital services provided by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), through FCCN.
The 17th edition of this event will take place from May 5th to 7th, 2026 at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto. Over three days, the FCCN Conference will promote... thematic sessions, project presentations, service demonstrations and moments of networking, contributing to the dialogue on emerging themes and technologies, as well as on news related to FCCN's areas of activity.
