The winners of the 9th edition of the Arquivo.pt Prize have been announced., which, in 2026, recorded 58 applications, an increase of 61% compared to the previous year., reflecting the increased interest in reusing information preserved in Arquivo.pt.
Promoted by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), through its digital services unit FCCN, the prize annually distinguishes innovative projects that explore the value of memory. web.
THE first prize, in the amount of 10 thousand euros, was assigned to the project “Click Here To Lose”, developed by Ingra BarretoThe proposal creatively explores the potential of the archived content in web to educate and warn users against scams and frauds that have spread across the Internet.
THE second place was delivered to the project “Look at the Regional”, of Miguel Ramalho and João Carvalho, which stands out for its emphasis on regional content and its analysis of local memory.
THE third position, awarded with 2 thousand euros, was assigned to the project “Portugal, at what cost?”, of Bernardo Chagas, focused on using historical data to understand economic and social dynamics.

The honorable mention awarded by Public newspaper was delivered to the project “Media Cases – Understand how the media covers economic and financial crimes., developed by Ana Francisca Gonçalves and Rodrigo Barrocas, which organizes and systematizes media coverage of economic and financial crime cases in Portugal, through the use of content preserved in Arquivo.pt.
The honorable mention will be given to... DNS.PT Association was assigned to the project “Electoral Archives”, authored by Filipa Ribeiro, which makes available the electoral programs and promises preserved in web through Arquivo.pt, promoting democratic transparency and access to digital memory.
Awards ceremony on July 16th.
The official awards ceremony will take place on the day July 16th, starting at 4:30 PM, during the closing session of Science and Innovation Meeting, at the Congress Center in Lisbon.
