What motivated your interest in the field of Multimedia?
The possibility of combining technology, communication, and creativity to create experiences with real impact on people. I've always been fascinated by how sound, image, and digital technologies can bring knowledge, culture, and communities closer together.
A person who inspired you to follow this path:
It wasn't just one person. I was inspired by several artists, researchers, and professionals who challenged the boundaries between art, technology, and communication, showing that innovation happens when different disciplines intersect. If I had to choose one person, it would be Rogério Ceitil (director of Duarte e Companhia), who encouraged me at the time to move into this area, when I still had many existential doubts.
The biggest myth about working in multimedia that you'd like to debunk:
The idea that multimedia is simply about creating audiovisual content is misleading. In reality, it's a deeply strategic area that involves technology, user experience, accessibility, infrastructure, project management, and continuous innovation.
An achievement you are proud of in your professional career:
To have contributed to the evolution and consolidation of large-scale multimedia services that support the Portuguese academic and scientific community, helping institutions and users to communicate, teach and share knowledge through digital technologies.

I am fortunate to work with extremely competent and dedicated colleagues. I am particularly inspired by those who manage to combine strategic vision with execution capacity, always maintaining a focus on the impact our work generates for the community.
Your motto for your daily work:
Transforming complex challenges into simple and sustainable solutions. I frequently apply the motto "Less is more," based on the principle that simplicity is not the starting point, but the destination.
Something you do at work that people wouldn't imagine:
Much of the invisible work happens before any service reaches users: requirements analysis, process design, technology assessment, infrastructure planning, and risk management to ensure reliability and scalability.
Your “secret tool”:
Curiosity. Tools and technologies are constantly changing, but the ability to learn, question, and adapt remains the greatest factor for success.
Music or playlist to help you stay focused while working:
Instrumental, ambient, and contemporary electronic music. Depending on the task, I alternate between Brian Eno, Max Cooper, Jon Hopkins, and others.

In incidents, I usually use words. In resolving them, I use emojis. 👌 🎯
Something you'd like to tell your younger self at the start of your career, if you could go back in time:
Spend less time searching for the perfect solution and more time experimenting, learning, and making mistakes. The experience gained in the process is worth more than any theoretical plan.
A piece of advice for anyone wanting to pursue a career in multimedia:
It simultaneously develops technical, creative, and human skills. Technology evolves rapidly, but the ability to communicate, collaborate, and understand people's needs will always make the difference.
