What people say about us

"We found the MACC through the National Advanced Computing Network (RNCA) and we had the opportunity to perform coupled numerical simulations of the atmosphere and ocean on the BOB platform by the FCT Advanced Computing Project. We think that the MACC team were friendly and professional, it was a good and productive experience. They gave us the initial push and the documentation had what we needed. It was important for us to carry out several simulations to improve our coastal ocean circulation forecasting system for the Madeira Archipelago."

Rui Vieira, Observatório Oceânico da Madeira, ARDITI

"Our project investigates the use of deep neural networks for COVID detection from customer symptoms. This involves exploration of a huge parameter spaces. We make extensive use of the paralellism on the multiple-core MACC systems, inclunding vector units and GPU acceleration. The MACC team is very responsive and user friendly, and the support and management software facilities are intuitive and readily accessible.”

Mauricio Breternitz, ISCTE

"As a researcher performing Molecular Dynamics Simulations of peptides and proteins using GROMACS, the BOB/MACC platform was crucial to benchmarking a vast library of novel peptides, helping the development of a new project. Our simulations required only 64 cores each but were only possible to run a great number of them, in a 6 month-window, thanks to the well-organised HPC administration, support team, and MACC performance. The MACC Documentation web page is very helpful, providing full supporting information. The MACC team was equally accessible, helping since the very beginning. I hope to continue using MACC infrastructure in future works."
