The meeting of the community served by the FCT's FCCN Unit will be held in Leiria from April 21 to 23.

The Scientific Computing Conferences are the annual meeting point for the various communities of managers and users of advanced communication, computing, data and other digital services provided by the Foundation for Science and Technology.

Over three days, themes related to the areas of activity of the FCT Scientific Computing Unit will be debated: Connectivity, Computing, Collaboration, Knowledge and Security. See the full programme here.

The event is intended for those responsible for the computer, library, documentation and/or archive services of Higher Education Institutions, for decision makers and institutional leaders of these institutions, and for those responsible for the implementation of science and research units.

The 2020 edition will be the 11th and will take place at Politécnico de Leiria, campus 2 - ESTG Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão, from 21st to 23rd April 2020. You can register here.

In 2019, the Days of Scientific Computing registered 498 registrants and 381 participants. This increase is in line with the trend of the last years. Compared to the 2016 edition, for example, the Jornadas de Computação Científica registered, in 2019, more than double the number of registrations.
