Arquivo.pt, the digital service of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), developed through FCCN, was one of the winners of the Navegantes XXI Awards.
Travel back in time by searching and accessing pages on the web that have been archived since 1996 and are no longer available. This is the motto of Arquivo.pt, which, among all the projects competing in the 20 categories of the Navegantes XXI Awards, was one of those recognized in this edition.
FCT's digital service won the award in the category of "Best Central Public Administration Project", standing out among the various Projects/Sites/Apps that were launched, functional or available in Portugal between June 2023 and June 2024. This category annually recognizes a project that has contributed "unequivocally to the development of the Central Public sector through the digital medium, as well as the Digital Economy in Portugal", according to the initiative's website.
Professor Francisco Santos, vice-president of FCT , Salomé Branco, Deputy General Coordinator of FCCN, FCT's digital services, and Daniel Gomes, manager of this FCT digital service, were present at the awards ceremony, which took place on October 24 at the Técnico Innovation Center in Lisbon. The heads of FCCN, FCT's digital services, took to the stage to receive the award and reflect on this recognition.
More about the Navegantes XXI Awards
The Navegantes XXI Awards are an initiative of ACEPI - Associação da Economia Digital, created around its mission: To Promote and Develop the Digital Economy in Portugal.
The competition rewards the best of Portugal's Digital Economy and Society in a wide range of areas. It currently consists of 20 categories which, every year, reward the most innovative and transformative Portuguese digital projects, ideas and institutions. There are also 3 Special Category Awards (out of competition).
