The official opening ceremony for applications will take place on 13 March at the Museum of the Presidency of the Republic.

This launch of the 2019 edition of the Arquivo.pt Prize will be attended by the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.

Free entry (limited to the space's capacity), the event's programme includes a "Journey through Time with the Presidents of the Republic", as well as guided tours of the museum and the exhibition on Arquivo.pt.

During the ceremony, the Arquivo.pt Prize 2019 will be presented - which aims to distinguish innovative and/or useful uses for society of the Portuguese web estate preserved in Arquivo.pt, with a total of 15 thousand euros in prizes.

Applications are open until 3 May and a description of the work (up to 2000 words) and a short video (maximum three minutes in length) are required.
