FCT digital service for education and science
IAedu aims to be FCT's digital service, developed by FCCN, which aims to democratize access to Artificial Intelligence.
This platform provides centralized and simplified access to large-scale language models (LLM) , saving time and resources. It offers the Pro version of multiple AI models free of charge in a single portal , through individual federated authentication.
It aims to democratize access — for higher education students and researchers — to emerging technologies, to promote equity and avoid inequalities in the use of resources that can transform learning and drive innovation.
Creating synergies and economies of scale through centralized contracting and provision is also our goal, while also ensuring the promotion of efficiency through knowledge sharing and joint learning.
The IAedu pilot project was thus born, completing a set of more than 25 FCT digital services, developed by FCCN, which drive Technology and promote Knowledge in Portugal.
Entities interested in joining this pilot project must complete the membership form.
Who is it for?
Institutions can join the IAedu service:
- Higher education
- Research and Development
- Non-profit institutions whose main objective is Research and Development activities.
About IAedu
The IAedu service aims to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies into the education and science sectors in Portugal. This service aims to improve the quality of teaching and research through the use of advanced AI tools.
