The official opening ceremony for applications will take place on January 16th, in the Auditorium of the Público newspaper, in Lisbon.

This launch of the 2020 edition of the Arquivo.pt Award will feature speeches by the President of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), Helena Pereira, the Director of Public, Manuel Carvalho, as well as the manager of Arquivo.pt, Daniel Gomes. The ceremony will conclude with a visit to the newspaper's editorial office.

With free entry (limited to the capacity of the space), the event will serve as a presentation of the Arquivo.pt Prize 2020 – the award that aims to recognize innovative and/or useful uses for society of the collection preserved at Arquivo.pt, with a total of 15 thousand euros in prizes.

The 2020 edition is supported by the newspaper Public, Works based on content published by the newspaper will receive an Honorable Mention, which includes an annual subscription to the newspaper and a set of publications.

Please note that applications are open until May 4th, and must include a job description (up to 2,000 words) and a short video (maximum three minutes long).
