The meeting in Porto brought together secondary schools participating in this project that aims to “reduce barriers to entry into higher education.”

Reunião Projeto UP2U

The Porto Higher Institute of Engineering (ISEP) was chosen to host the eight schools across the country that participated in the first edition of the UP2U project. During the afternoon of January 9th, students were able to learn about the project's overview, the UP2U ecosystem tools, and some teaching/learning methodologies.

During the session, participating schools were also able to give a short presentation on the main opportunities and challenges involved in implementing the project.

UP2U is described as “an international pilot project with several secondary schools” that offers immediate access to various educational tools, in order to “enhance new methodologies and pedagogical practices in secondary education.” Platforms for collaborative editing, social interaction, or analysis and teaching management are just a few examples.

Projeto UP2U

In its first phase, the project involves Italy, Greece, Switzerland, and Poland. Portugal, Spain, Germany, Hungary, and Lithuania are now joining the effort.

In Portugal, UP2U activities will continue with specific training dedicated to each of the tools included in the project.
