THE February 11th celebrates the Safer Internet Day, this year under the theme “Education for Digital Citizenshipl”. The Consortium Safe Internet Center, integrated by Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), through the digital services unit FCCN, celebrates the 22nd edition of this anniversary with the national event in Aveiro.
The initiative dedicates the morning to encouraging safer, more ethical and conscious use of the digital environment, through Thematic Workshops for children and young people from the 1st cycle up to the age of 25.
During the afternoon, the Seminar that brings together guests from the Education field to discuss the challenges and opportunities of digital citizenship and the empowering citizens to use the digital environment critically, ethically and responsibly.
The Seminar is free and open to the entire community, through pre-registration. To ensure your attendance, all interested parties must complete the form on the website.
The event is part of the initiative “European Year of Digital Citizenship Education”, which is noted in 2025, promoted by Council of Europe, with a view to reinforcing the importance of this topic in responding to future digital challenges and opportunities.
