Simplification of management processes, production and access to information about science
PTCRIS is a program that aims to promote the integration of science management systems of the various entities operating in the academic-scientific ecosystem, with a view to complying with the principle “Register once, reuse multiple”
The purpose of PTCRIS is to develop an integrated and open ecosystem, thus promoting, on the one hand, the debureaucratization and simplification of administrative processes, and on the other, the production, management and access to reliable, complete and updated data on national scientific activity.
The PTCRIS ecosystem will promote scientific excellence in Portugal, giving it greater visibility among all national and international stakeholders.

About PTCRIS
PTCRIS aims to facilitate the processes of management, production and access to national scientific information through the development of an open ecosystem of national and international science management systems, from which all agents can easily benefit and contribute, with advantages for all.
In order to fulfill its objective, PTCRIS has two fundamental areas of action:
- The development of an interoperability regulatory framework and infrastructures to support it (learn more here).
- Promoting the adoption of the interoperability regulatory framework by entities operating in the academic-scientific ecosystem.
PTCRIS infrastructures/services include:
- Infrastructure for managing unique identifiers of institutions
- SciPROJ – national register of funding allocated to research activities carried out in Portugal
- CIÊNCIAVITAE – national curriculum management system.
