The invitation to participate is extended to all those interested in being part of the new European Commission network for industry and academia, inserted within the scope of Cybersecurity Skills Academy. Applications for expressions of interest in joining the network are open until January 5, 2025.
The main objective of this network is closing the cybersecurity skills and talent gap in the European Union, counting on synergies and cooperation between industry and academia.
In this sense, the industry-academia network of Cybersecurity Skills Academy encourages the joint efforts of all parties to ensure an adequate response to growing needs and promote a safe digital environment for all Europeans.
All interested organizations, such as cybersecurity companies, higher education institutions, vocational education and training providers, and alliances between European universities, can join the network.
Based on the results of the High-Level Roundtable on Cyberskills, held in May, this network aims to align the needs of the labor market with academic and training offers, contributing to the qualification of the workforce and to the attractiveness of the European Union in the field of cybersecurity.
This has been one of the European Union's top priorities in recent years, to ensure a digital economy that remains both risk-free and competitive.
