The National Center for Advanced Computing (CNCA) has opened a call for expressions of interest for all entities wishing to join this strategic innovation and supercomputing network as associates. The deadline to apply is February 28, 2025. information on the expression of interest is available on the website of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).
Joining the CNCA allows entities to benefit from a advanced high-performance computing ecosystem, with access to essential infrastructure and skills for research and development in various scientific and technological areas.
Interested parties must formalize their intention via email cnca-questoes@incd.pt, indicating the entity and, whenever possible, the desired annual quota bracket, as stipulated in the CNCA statutes.
Although this phase aims to bring together the initial group of adherents, future memberships will continue to be possible, ensuring continued growth of the National Center for Advanced Computing.

THE National Center for Advanced Computing (CNCA) is the new entity that, with the support of Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), through its digital services unit FCCN, aims to manage, supervise, monitor, and promote advanced computing activities and initiatives in Portugal. It has been strengthening support for science, technology and innovation and enhance the benefits of a more comprehensive ecosystem for the academic, scientific and business community.
This new institutional structure is financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan, being one of the actions included in the measure RE-C05-i08 More Digital Science, contracted between the FCT and the Recover Portugal Mission Structure.
