The next day April 10th, starting at 2 PM, the city of Bragança receives presentation session of AI Factory at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), a European initiative funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan, which aims to accelerate innovation and the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in research, small and medium-sized enterprises, and the public sector.

The session takes place in Brigantia EcoParkwith the support from the Bragança City Council, and is promoted by Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), through its digital services unit FCCN, within the scope of Portuguese participation in this European initiative.

The event aims to to showcase the advanced computing resources availableThis includes the Deucalion and Mare Nostrum 5 supercomputers, as well as the specialized teams that support the development of AI projects. Incubation programs and collaboration mechanisms aimed at supporting innovative solutions based on artificial intelligence will also be presented.

Bringing AI closer to companies in the Trás-os-Montes region.

The initiative aims to to bring these opportunities closer to SMEs, startups and innovation entities in the Northern region, facilitating access to European advanced computing infrastructures and programs supporting technological development.

In holding this session in Bragança, the FCT and local partners They strengthen the link between international scientific infrastructures and the regional business fabric., promoting the adoption of AI tools that enhance the competitiveness and innovation capacity of organizations.

Collaboration between science, territory and innovation

The realization of this event results from a collaboration between national and local entities, highlighting the role of the Bragança City Council and Brigantia EcoPark in boosting the regional innovation ecosystem.

This connection also contributes to To strengthen Portugal's position in the development and adoption of artificial intelligence solutions., with impact on digital transformation, in sustainability and in the economic growth.
