The Guarantee of Online Security
Certificates is the service that ensures the provision of various types of digital certificates to entities linked to RCTS.
The objective is to promote the security, authenticity, confidentiality and integrity of information sent and received via the Internet.
FCCN guarantees this service through the TCS ( Trusted Certificate Service), provided by the GÉANT Association .
Who is it for?
The Certificates service is available to students, teachers and employees of entities connected to RCTS.
About Certificates
Through this service, we provide higher education and research institutions with a single portal for issuing the following types of digital certificates:
- Server Certificates : A server equipped with a recognized certificate guarantees that the website is secure and trustworthy by creating a cryptographic channel between a web server and a browser.
- Personal Certificates : Certificates that allow the user to be identified as a member of an institution and can be used to sign and encrypt email messages or sign documents.
- GRID Certificates (Personal and Server accredited by the “International Grid Trust Federation”) : These are used to allow access to GRID infrastructures.
- Code signing : Certificates that allow the signing of code and applications, guaranteeing their origin, integrity and security.
