The Online Security Guarantee
RCTS Certificates is the service that ensures the provision of various types of digital certificates to entities connected to RCTS.
Aims to promote the security, authenticity, confidentiality and integrity of information sent and received over the Internet.
FCCN guarantees this service through the TCS(Trusted Certificate Service) service provided by the GÉANT Association.
To whom it is addressed
The RCTS Certificates service is available to students, teachers and employees of entities connected to the RCTS.
About RCTS Certificates
Through this service we provide higher education and research institutions a single portal for issuing the following types of digital certificates:
- Server Certificates: A server equipped with a recognized certificate guarantees that the site is secure and trusted by creating a cryptographic channel between a web server and a browser (browser).
- Personal Certificates: Certificates that allow the identification of the user as being part of an institution, and can be used to sign and encrypt email messages or sign documents.
- GRID Certificates (Personal and Server accredited by the International Grid Trust Federation): These are used to allow access to the GRID infrastructures.
- Code Signing: Certificates that allow signing code and applications, guaranteeing their origin, integrity and security.
