THE POLLEN, digital service of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), developed by FCCN, launches its new official website — a space dedicated to managing and sharing research data, promoting the practice of Open Science.

Common design modern, accessible and user-centric, the website aims to facilitate access by the scientific and higher education community to the services and resources provided by POLLEN. The new interface translates the core values of the service: openness, transparency and greater visibility of scientific results.

"The new POLEN website reinforces the FCT's commitment to Open Science and to providing more accessible services aligned with the needs of the scientific community. It's a concrete step toward more effective data management aligned with the FAIR principles." says João Mendes Moreira, Area Director at FCCN, FCT's digital services unit.

On the website, you can find information about the main services of POLEN: the Data Management Plans System and the Research Data Repository. Here you will also find all the updated information about the activities in which the service actively participates, such as the implementation of National Program for Open Science and Open Research Data (PNCADAI), financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan, the GDI Forum, alignment with important national and international initiatives, among others.

Filipa Pereira, service manager, highlights: “This website represents another step towards consolidating research data management support practices, making services more accessible, interconnected and adapted to the needs of institutions and researchers.”

A new image for a new phase of the POLEN service

The launch of the new website accompanies a new phase of POLEN, driven by PNCADAI, aiming to promote the practice of FAIR data at a national level, through the implementation of new services, a national network, the development and monitoring of Open Science policies and collaboration in relevant projects.

The website update is in line with the recent modernization of POLEN's image, promoting commitment to a clearer, more accessible and more tailored communication to needs of the scientific community.

THE The new visual identity further reinforces the service's connection to the FCT and brings it closer to the new FCCN identity. The colors that distinguish it reveal the technological area of the FCCN to which it belongs – the Knowledge area, represented by the color purple.
