Agency for Administrative Modernization (AMA) awarded Arquivo.pt a certification seal as an open data provider. The collaboration between the two entities aims to improve the preservation of public administration websites.

In partnership with the Agency for Administrative Modernization (AMA), the service Arquivo.pt is identifying and collecting all Public Administration websites. Thus, as part of this project, the AMA recognized the FCCN Unit's service as a public service and open data provider, assigning its certification seal on the Open Data Portal.

The collaboration between the two entities also promotes the preservation of data published on Public Administration websites that are no longer updated, through the Arquivo.pt Memorial. The agreement also provides for the promotion of training on the preservation of open data published online.

Please note that Arquivo.pt is responsible for preserving Public Administration websites such as the Government Portal, in collaboration with the Government Information Network Management Center (CEGER). Any citizen can access the open data resulting from these historical archives, allowing them to, for example, search official information published on the websites of successive governments.

The Archive.pt

This service currently provides open access to over 10 billion files (721 TB) from 27 million websites. The preserved open data can be explored through search interface, automatically through API or reusing the derived datasets.

You can learn more about the derived datasets available in Arquivo.pt Open Data Portal.
