With the aim of raising awareness and promoting open science practices among the community of researchers, science managers, students and the general public, the FCT promotes, within the scope of the celebrations of International Open Science Week, an event entitled “Open Science: Access, collaboration and sharing”.

This online event will take place on October 27th between 9:30 and 10:30. Participation is free, requiring pre-registration.

Open Science is scientific activity carried out in an open, collaborative and transparent manner, facilitating the sharing and communication of processes and results (data, publications and others).

This session will address services available to the community to promote the practice of open science, in particular b-on and the transformative agreements (open access publishing at no cost to authors), the network of open access scientific repositories, and research data management services. The session is organized by FCCN, a unit of the FCT whose mission is to ensure technology and resources for research, science and the development of new knowledge.
