The Lusophone Open Science Conference (ConfOA) is scheduled for October 10–12 in Maputo, Mozambique, in a hybrid format. Registration for workshops is now open. Learn more here.
Registration for the different workshops of 13th edition of ConfOA (which are held in-person and online) are now open. This means you can participate in the workshop "Open Science: Diversity, Inclusion, and Sustainability" on October 10th—the central theme of the 2022 event.
Likewise, on October 11th, registration is open for the workshop "Best Practices and Innovation in Scientific Journal Management." On the 12th, the topic "Best Practices in Repository Management" will be highlighted, with another workshop. All training sessions are free, with mandatory and limited registration. You can find out more on the event page.
The event's location in Maputo is related to its new name – previously a Lusophone-Brazilian conference, ConfOA is now the Lusophone Open Science Conference. The change confirms "the expansion of its scope as a space where Open Science is thought about and discussed in Portuguese," explains the organizers.
As in previous editions, the goal of ConfOA is to bring together communities involved in research, development, service management, and policymaking related to Open Science. Therefore, the meeting aims to share, discuss, and disseminate knowledge, practices, and research on these topics.
