IAedu is now available for the first participating institutions
IAedu , The digital service of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), developed through the FCCN, and launched in May 2025, sees the first entities join the pilot phase.
At this first stage, IAedu is accessible in its beta version to the FCT | FCCN and the first protocolled entities, allowing to test functionalities, collect feedback and prepare the service for wider availability.

In February 2025, the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) adopted a new Open Access Policy, in order to make it mandatory to make scientific publications resulting from research funded by it available in open access.
The policy now applies to scientific articles, books, book chapters and monographs, as well as doctoral theses and master's dissertations.
