The course will take place on the days June 7th, 8th and 9th in an online format and will have a theoretical component and a practical component.
The University of Aveiro in partnership with the Minho Advanced Computer Center – MACC, together with the Project EuroCC invites all interested parties to participate in the HPC Course, aimed at non-computer science specialists who require high-performance computing resources in their daily activities, but are not familiar with the HPC programming environment.
Registrations are free but mandatory, and can be carried out until the day May 31st 2021, using the form available for this purpose.
The event access link will be sent after registration and the day before the event starts.
Note: Training will be given in Portuguese.
*HPC — from English High Performance Computing, or high-performance computing — is a concept that seeks to aggregate computing power, in order to offer much greater performance than that found in
ordinary computers, to solve complex engineering, scientific or business problems.
The immense processing power of this computational model ensures that the time required to obtain the most diverse results is exponentially reduced. Furthermore, cloud scalability allows for increased processing power as the task becomes more complex.
