Open Clouds for Research Environments (OCRE) is accepting applications for a funding program until July 7th. Research projects can receive up to €500,000 in investment in cloud infrastructure, platforms, and software services.
"Get more agility and results for your research project." This is how OCRE presents the opportunity offered by its latest funding program. According to OCRE, there are approximately €6.5 million to be distributed, with a maximum limit of €500,000 per project. The funds will be distributed across cloud and Earth Observation services.
Applications are open from April 26th to July 8th. To participate, research projects must contact the FCCN Unit – the entity that represents OCRE in Portugal.
Based on this contact, the FCCN Unit will be able to collaborate on creating a proposal that should highlight the project's relevance and the impact that digital cloud services would have on activities and results, as well as highlight the positive role that digital services can play in European research.
This funding line is intended to promote the adoption of cloud-based services by the European research community. Therefore, projects already using these types of solutions cannot be funded. The OCRE project will also comply with the rules set out in Grant Agreement implemented by the European Commission.
