Plus is a connectivity service that provides advanced features, ensured through the creation of Ethernet Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), over which large volumes of information can be exchanged.
It is a service specifically designed for projects or applications that require high-performance switched connectivity, but do not require an Internet connection.

About Plus
Virtual private networks (VPNs) created under the RCTS service allow the exchange of large flows of information in a simple and integrated manner.
This way you get better performance and isolation from RCTS IP traffic.
Speeds of 1Gbits/s or 100Gbits/s are available, using your own address.
Users can configure their VLANs, thus creating their own VPN over the VPN provided by PLUS.
Multiple entities with different connections and speeds can also be integrated into the same VPN PLUS.
International Connections
Plus may include entities from other European academic networks connected to the network GÉANT, through the equivalent GÉANT Plus service.
The inclusion of entities external to RCTS always requires confirmation of the existence of these functionalities in the destination networks.

Specially designed to include advanced features for activities and projects that require high-performance switched connectivity, Plus is intended for all institutions eligible to subscribe to the IP service.
