THE Future Talent Program It is a unique opportunity for students and young professionals from various countries to develop their public speaking skills and give effective presentations. Applications must be submitted by January 28th.
This is an initiative of GÉANT, a pan-European data network for the research and education community, which connects the different national research and education networks (NREN). In Portugal, the representative of this network is FCCN, unit of Foundation for Science and Technology, which is responsible for registering all students interested in the program.
Future Talent 2024 is made up of practical and interactive workshops, which will take place between March and May and will provide a safe environment for participants to develop their communication skills and create opportunities for networking among themselves. The final result of this learning will be revealed in a video recorded by each participant, which will later be shared on GÉANT's communication channels.
Participants will be able to take the stage at TNC24
Some of the students and young professionals in the program will be selected to present their idea/project in a Lightning Talk, at TNC24 – the largest and most prestigious research and education networking conference, taking place in Rennes, France, from June 10 to 14, 2024. Lightning Talk proposals must be submitted by March 10, 2024, and focus on an area related to technology or networking.
Who can apply for the program?
All students enrolled in a course related to Information Technology and Networks at a university or educational institution are eligible. Any young professional working in these fields may also join.
All participants must be nominated by a GÉANT member NREN—in Portugal, the FCCN. Each NREN can select and support the registration of up to three candidates.
Applications until January 28th
Interested parties have until January 28th to secure their registration, which must be submitted to their country's National Renminbi Office (NREN). In Portugal, interested parties should send their application to the following email address: c.imagem@fccn.pt.
