Agency for Administrative Modernization (AMA) awarded Arquivo.pt with a certification seal as a supplier of open data. Collaboration between the two entities aims to improve the preservation of Public Administration websites.

In partnership with the Agency for Administrative Modernization (AMA), the Arquivo.pt service is identifying and collecting all public administration websites. As part of this project, the AMA recognized the service of the FCCN Unit as a public service and open data provider, awarding its certification seal on the Open Data Portal.

The collaboration between the two entities also promotes the preservation of data published in Public Administration websites that are no longer updated, through the Archive.pt Memorial. The agreement also foresees the promotion of training courses about the preservation of open data published online.

Arquivo.pt is responsible for the preservation of Public Administration websites, such as the Government Portal, in collaboration with the Government Computer Network Management Center (CEGER). Any citizen can access the open data resulting from these historical archives and, for example, search for official information published on the websites of successive Governments.

The Archive.pt

Currently, this service provides open access to more than 10 billion files (721 TB) from 27 million websites. The preserved open data can be explored through the search interface, automatically via API or by reusing derived datasets.

You can learn more about the derived datasets available on the Open Data Portal of Arquivo.pt.
