Among 300 applications, NAU was named by IDC Portugal and Axians as one of the most disruptive and innovative national projects. It is now among the best classified in this 6th edition of Portugal Digital Awards.

THE NAU platform is dedicated to online teaching and training for large audiences. It is a service of the Scientific Computing Unit (FCCN) of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), which contributes significantly to the promotion of the Portuguese language as a vehicle for knowledge transmission.
For João Gomes, Director of Advanced Services FCCN|FCT, "the search for the best performance on the NAU platform is constant and, as such, being among the finalist projects is a big step for the project, but also for the entities that support us."
NAU offers courses in a wide range of fields and has seen an average growth of 4,000 users per month. The platform has already registered over 129,683 enrollments.
Guided by digital transformation, IDC Portugal and Axians share with the FCCN Unit one of the main pillars of activity: Innovation.
In a joint initiative, the organizations developed the Portugal Digital Awards event to recognize and reward the excellence of companies, their teams, and leaders who, with vision and audacity, lead their businesses and services toward digital transformation. This process increases companies' adaptability and serves as a reminder of the need to modernize markets and work areas.
Nowadays, it's essential to have institutional communication centered on digital platforms, which symbolizes the first step toward progress. Communication now has technology as its direct channel, responsible for reading and translating the customer's voice and directing business actions.
With this in mind, IDC and Axians award prizes to the entries that achieve the highest scores across the following evaluation criteria: Business impact; Improved decision-making; Innovation and creation of new products/services and/or improved customer experience; Improved productivity; Improvement and optimization of the organization's business processes; Creation of digital platforms for partnership development; Creation of a technological infrastructure to support the digital transformation of organizations; and Technological innovation.
In this edition, the Jury is composed of a panel of 23 jurors and observers, from the most varied work areas, combining information technologies with engineering, communications and management.
The last edition of the Portugal Digital Awards featured 19 winners, divided into categories representing all sectors of the Portuguese economy.
