The 4th meeting of the Portuguese Network Operators Group (PTNOG) took place on December 5th at the premises of the National Scientific Computing Unit (FCCN).

Comprising 12 presentations, the meeting counted with the contribution of several international
participants, and several topics were in focus: IPv6, Data Centres,
Optical Adapters, Routing Security, DNS, Automation and
Cooperation.

During the meeting, Pedro Lorga, manager of the communications service's network area FCCN, gave an update on the Gigapix platform, describing the developments that are expected for 2020 and reporting that the peak traffic observed has exceeded 100Gbps.

The record number of participants was also surpassed:
a total of 45 representatives from 33 different organisations attended.
