5. Project Summary
Objectives
- Develop national capabilities for communication and computing of large volumes of data to meet the most demanding technological needs of the national research community;
- Develop national capacities for shared storage of digital research infrastructures;
- Provide advanced collaboration services, enabling the national scientific community to participate in projects of strategic interest;
- Promote innovation and knowledge by developing open access capabilities to research data, knowledge and other research resources by Universities, Polytechnics and national research units;
- Reduce the digital divide currently existing between national research hubs and promote equal opportunities for collaboration and participation in international projects with high connectivity and computing requirements;
- Promote the creation of digital research infrastructures in a distributed and/or virtual manner.
