Next week, between July 3rd and 5th, FCCN, digital services of the Foundation for Science and Technology, will be present at Science Meeting 2024, in the various moments of dialogue, knowledge and coexistence throughout the three days.  

This year, this initiative, which is co-organized by the Foundation for Science and Technology, the University of Porto and Ciência Viva, will take place at Alfândega do Porto, with the aim of motto +Science for One Health and global well-being.

In this edition, FCCN, FCT's digital services, will have a dedicated exhibition area at the Science and Technology Exhibition, a space that will allow connections between the more than 30 entities present and the researchers participating in the initiative.  

At the FCCN stand, you can meet some of the team present and learn more about the digital services that reach the national Higher Education and Research community daily.  

Additionally, you can participate in some challenges and win prizes.  

FCCN's digital services are highlighted in the “More Digital Research” session

On the last day of the initiative, Francisco Santos, Vice-president of FCT, João Nuno Ferreira, General Coordinator of FCCN, FCT digital services, and Area Directors João Gomes and João Mendes Moreira will be the session's speakers. “More Digital Investigation”.  

At this time, the FCCN services most useful for researchers' daily lives will be highlighted, which aim to support the sharing and development of knowledge. Topics such as open data, digital preservation, access to knowledge and collaboration, security, among others, will be covered. 

The presentation begins at 10:15 am, in the Archive Room.  

Meet the winners of the Arquivo.pt 2024 Award 

Practically closing the meeting, the best works nominated for the Arquivo.pt Award 2024, who used information preserved on Arquivo.pt.  

In total, there are 15 thousand euros in prizes to be awarded and several honorable mentions.  

The winners will be announced at 5:15 pm.
