- Non-profit Institutions that have as their main objective Research and Development activities.
About Housing
Housing provides a datacenter service integrated into the RCTS network, with excellent connectivity conditions for the equipment hosted and structured on several levels.
The spaces are specially conditioned to house IT equipment, in a long-lasting operating regiment, with high availability and performance.
The hosting service may take one of the following forms:
- In a datacenter managed by FCCN, integrated into the RCTS backbone.
- In Public Administration datacenter with dedicated connection to RCTS
- In commercial datacenter with dedicated connection to RCTS
The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis, after assessing the proposal and analyzing factors such as technical availability and the relevance of the project to FCCN's mission.
Terms of Use
Due to the nature of the Housing service, namely with significant and highly variable energy costs, the financial costs of the service are not included in the RCTS connection service, and a separate proposal is required, which in some cases may be supported by the FCCN.
In case of use of third party datacenters the user entity shall conclude a direct service agreement, including the financial conditions, with that third party entity.
See the data sheet with the conditions of use of the service.
If your organization is part of the academic or scientific community and is not yet part of the RCTS Network, here's how to join and use the Housing service.
