Winning projects from the 2023 Arquivo.pt Award will be recognized during the Science Meeting. Awards will be presented by the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.

The winners of the Arquivo.pt 2023 Prize will be awarded at the Santiago University campus in Aveiro. The ceremony will be part of the closing session of the Ciência 2023 Meeting, on July 7, during which the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, will present the prizes to the three winning projects.

THE Arquivo.pt Award aims to annually reward innovative work based on historical information preserved by Arquivo.pt. In 2023, three prizes will be awarded (worth €10,000, €3,000, and €2,000), as well as two honorable mentions, in partnership with the newspaper Public and the Aveiro Media Competence Center (AMCC).

The Science Meeting is organized by the Foundation for Science and Technology and the Centro Ciência Viva, with a partnership with the University of Aveiro in 2023. The event aims to enable "open-mouth exchanges among all those who make their living from and for science in Portugal," explains Science 2023 Commissioner Helena Vieira.
