The FCCN Unit's presence in Mozambique focused on the areas of Open Science, Science Management and Security.

The FCCN Unit of the Foundation for Science and Technology was present, during the week of 11 to 15 November, at three events held in Maputo, with the aim of sharing its experiences and practices in the areas of Open Science, Science Management, Security and MOOCs (Massive Online Open Courses).

The Director of the Advanced Services Area of the National Scientific Computing Unit of the FCT, João Gomes, made presentations on the topics Nau Platform – Always learning” and “Sharing the experience of CERT of the Portuguese Academic and Scientific Network”.

The Director of the Scientific Knowledge Area of the same unit, João Mendes Moreira, presented Open Science and science management initiatives in Portugal, having also given a workshop on science management where the program was addressed PTCRIS, the CIÊNCIA ID and the SCIENCEVITAE

Mozambique is already the third country with the most registered registrations, after Portugal and Brazil. It is also worth highlighting that this collaboration anticipates the spirit of the theme of the next Portuguese Presidency of the EU, which will be Europe-Africa.
