The largest and most prestigious annual European conference for academic and research networks.

TNC is the largest and most prestigious annual European conference for academic and research networks. With over 700 participants, TNC brings together decision-makers, managers, networking and collaboration experts, and identity and access management experts from leading European networking and research organizations, universities, global peer institutions, and industry representatives.

Through lectures by renowned speakers, different parallel sessions, we gaveworkshops and presentations, the conference provides participants with a unique insight into the latest developments in research networks, both in the technical and management fields.

The 36th edition will be hosted by JISC. JISC develops and operates the UK's national academic network – JANET – connecting nearly 100 British educational institutions. The conference will be held in Brighton, between 21 and June 25, 2021.

In 2021, the conference, under the theme “Making waves” will focus on a variety of sub-themes of interest such as: the power of the Internet, the responsibility of sustainability and delivery, the power of data analysis, among others.

The organizers—GÉANT and JISC—plan to operate a hybrid conference, with in-person sessions in Brighton alongside an online component. A final decision regarding the event's structure will be made in February 2021, and the community will be informed in due course.
