Europe's largest and most prestigious annual conference for academic and research networks.

TNC is the largest and most prestigious annual European academic and research networking conference. With over 700 participants attending this event the TNC brings together decision makers, managers, network and collaboration and identity and access management experts from leading European networking and research organisations, universities, global peer institutions, and industry representatives.

Through talks by renowned speakers, different parallel sessions, demos, workshops and presentations, the conference presents participants with a unique insight into the latest developments in research networking, both in the technical field and in management areas.

The 36th edition, will be hosted by JISC. JISC develops and operates the UK's national academic network - JANET - connecting nearly all UK education institutions. The conference will be held in Brighton from 21-25 June 2021.

In 2021, the conference, under the theme "Making waves" will focus on a variety of sub-themes of interest such as: the power of the Internet, the responsibility of sustainability and delivery, the power of data analytics, among others.

The plans of the organisation - GÉANT and JISC - are to operate a hybrid conference, with face-to-face sessions in Brighton coexisting with an online component. A more final decision on the structure of the event will be made in February 2021 and the community will be informed in due course
