A survey conducted with approximately 1,300 users of FCCN services aimed to assess the level of community satisfaction during the Covid-19 pandemic.
86% of FCCN service users were satisfied with the provision of these services during the lockdown period resulting from the novel coronavirus pandemic. This is the main conclusion resulting from the survey conducted among the community served by the FCCN Unit, during which, From July 20th to August 14th, around 1300 users were surveyed.
The vast majority of respondents (91%) are linked to Higher Education, with 59% of the respondents teaching at university or polytechnic institutions. Also noteworthy is the participation of technical-administrative staff (23%) and researchers or doctoral students (19%).
From the point of view of the ranking of use of services during the confinement period, Colibri occupies a prominent place, with 93% of respondents revealing that they had used this tool. A fact that is not surprising, considering the growth in the number of meetings in the order of 4000%, during the first four months of 2020, compared to the same period last year.
Still regarding the services most used by respondents, the highlights are the Online Knowledge Library (35%), Open Access Scientific Repositories of Portugal (18%) and Filesender (17%). In total, 98% of the participants in this survey said they recommend FCCN services.
