The person in charge of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (IPS), Sandra Pinto, describes the recording experience at the FCCN Studio, detailing the context in which the recordings were made.
What scope do the recordings fall under?
Our work at Estúdio FCCN is part of the "+Negócios -Desperdício" project, an IPS/IPStartup project funded by the Environmental Fund, as part of the "Sustainable Production and Consumption" competition. The project includes an annual competition for ideas on creating value from waste from small and medium-sized businesses in the Setúbal Peninsula, Alentejo Coast, and Vendas Novas. Companies launch challenges, and teams of IPS students, faculty, and researchers propose solutions and then develop these ideas, particularly within their curricular units. Finally, the potential of these ideas for implementation within companies or even for their own transformation into new businesses is assessed.
The MOOC we recorded at FCCN Studio consists of multiple modules that introduce the competition and its related topics, all related to the Circular Economy. This course will then be available online at website the ideas competition, among others, serving as support to the different stakeholders, both in this pilot edition and in future editions.
What was the reason for choosing the FCCN studio?
One of our team members had already recorded some classes at the FCCN Unit and suggested that we also record this MOOC there, taking advantage of the resources provided by the Educast project, which IPS has joined. Based on this idea, we conducted a more in-depth analysis of the available videos and found they met the quality we were looking for. And they even inspired us a lot.
And how do you describe the user experience?
This was the first time most of the team had recorded in a studio, and it was a very positive experience that everyone intends to repeat in the future. We especially appreciated the tireless support we received from the FCCN team and their flexibility and willingness to help us meet the tight schedule we had for our project, especially considering the current pandemic situation. We recommend this experience to anyone looking to record high-quality videos for online release. At FCCN, you can count on a team of excellent and highly dedicated professionals who will help ensure the success of your projects.
