Training created by Turismo de Portugal arrived on the NAU platform on December 1st.
“Wine tasting goes far beyond simply drinking the drink”, emphasizes Turismo de Portugal, in the presentation of its first course published on the NAU platform. "Introduction to Wine Tasting" has been available since December 1st. The training is completely free and marks the beginning of the collaboration between the two entities to produce training content.
In the course description, Turismo de Portugal highlights that, through this training, it is possible “acquire skills/competencies in initial training, but also ongoing, with a view to personal development." In addition to the characteristics of the tasting, it is also possible to learn more about different types of wine and how they should be served.
The manager of the NAU Project, Pedro Barbosa Cabral, emphasizes that the opening of this course, in partnership with Turismo de Portugal, shows how the training on this platform can focus “on the most diverse topics and awaken interest in various layers of society”. "NAU is a dissemination vehicle that contributes to greater access to knowledge and the development of skills that allow for the comprehensive qualification of its users, in a wide range of topics," he adds.
“Initiation to Wine Tasting” is aimed at industry professionals, students and the general public who are interested in learning more about this field. The course lasts approximately 2.5 hours.
Managed by the National Scientific Computing Unit (FCCN) of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), the NAU – Sempre a Aprender platform provides access to online courses for large audiences in MOOC format (Massive Open Online Course). The training courses are diverse and range from courses in health, cyberbullying, personal data protection, and education for sustainability, to name a few.
