The new website for the FCCN Unit of the Foundation for Science and Technology reformulates the presentation of this unit, focusing on communication tailored to the various audiences that make up its community, namely students and researchers.

“Technology for Knowledge” is the motto of the new FCCN Unit website. Presented earlier this month, it highlights the solutions and technological resources that this unit makes available to the academic and research community (ranging from librarians to students, researchers, teachers and other institutional staff), through its national education and research network – the Science, Technology and Society Network (RCTS).

In order to highlight the services available to these audiences, the new website offers the possibility of performing a search segmented by user functions. On the other hand, it also implements an organization of services by technological areas that constitute the pillars of the FCCN Unit's mission: Connectivity, Computing, Collaboration, Knowledge, Security and InnovationTaking these changes into account, the new website simplifies communication, basing it on different user profiles.

Another of the main innovations of the new portal is the creation of a “blog” section where experts from the FCCN Unit and the community will share knowledge about technologies, with the aim of bringing together the various audiences linked to this unit, through the creation of a digital meeting point.

Finally, it also reinforces the informative dimension about the activity of FCCN services, providing more updated metrics about solutions like Colibri, Educast, NAU Platform, RCAAP or RCTSaai. In the section of the portal dedicated to Innovation, users are also encouraged to leave suggestions for services or projects to be carried out by the FCCN Unit, which may be useful for the rest of the community.
