Testimony of Pedro Pinto, Head of Cybersecurity and Coordinator of the Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) at the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda (IPG).

In an increasingly challenging digital landscape, the Cybersecurity has become a strategic priority for Higher Education Institutions. Protecting systems, data, and people requires not only technology, but also cooperation, knowledge sharing, and a coordinated response. It is in this context that... CSIRT FCCN, the FCT's digital service, has established itself as an essential partner of the academic and scientific community.

In a conversation about this service, Pedro Pinto highlights how this partnership has been fundamental in consolidating its digital resilience.

To what extent has the support of the CSIRT FCCN increased the resilience and digital security of your institution over the years?

"FCCN has been a key partner over the years, contributing significantly to the technological evolution and innovation of Higher Education Institutions. Regarding the CSIRT FCCN, the..." But the future brings new challenges. The increasing complexity of threats, the use of artificial intelligence, and the need for collaboration between institutions demand a continuous joint effort.

"Collaboration between institutions is a fundamental requirement for a secure cyberspace." In light of new threats, the CSIRT FCCN will certainly expand its service offerings. "detection and response, fostering digital resilience, promoting collaboration between Higher Education Institutions, and developing continuous training programs adapted to the needs of the academic community."

The work of the CSIRT FCCN is more than just a technical service; it's a shared commitment to the safety and progress of the community. This purpose reflects the mission of FCCN, the digital services unit of FCT, to...
