- Non-profit institutions whose main objective is Research and Development activities.
About Housing
Housing provides a service of data center integrated into the RCTS network, with excellent connectivity conditions for the equipment housed and structured on several levels.
The spaces are specially designed to house IT equipment, operating for a long period of time, with high availability and performance.
The hosting service can take one of the following forms:
- In a data center managed by FCCN, integrated into the RCTS backbone.
- In a Public Administration data center with a dedicated connection to RCTS
- In a commercial data center with dedicated connection to RCTS
The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis, after reviewing the proposal and analyzing factors such as technical availability and the relevance of the project to FCCN's mission.
Terms of Use
Due to the nature of the Housing service, particularly with significant and highly variable energy costs, the financial costs of the service are not included in the RCTS connection service, and a separate proposal is required, which in some cases may be supported by FCCN.
In the case of using third-party data centers, the user entity must enter into a direct service agreement, including financial conditions, with that third party entity.
Consult the technical sheet with conditions of using the service.
If your organization is part of the academic or scientific community and is not yet part of the RCTS Network, see here how to join and use the Housing service.
