The event will take place online from October 6th to 8th. The program focuses on sharing, discussing, and disseminating knowledge, practices, and research on Open Access to Knowledge and Open Science.
Now available the general structure of the program of the 11th edition of Luso-Brazilian Open Science Conference (ConfOA). Due to the new coronavirus pandemic, the work will take place online, free registrations are open and can be made on the event page.
This conference aims to bring together the Portuguese and Brazilian communities that develop research activities, develop service management and define policies related to Open Access to knowledge and Open Science.
The program features interventions by Helena Pereira, President of the Foundation for Science and Technology, Rui Vieira e Castro, Rector of the University of Minho, and Cecília Leite, Director of the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology.
The presentations over these three days will focus on topics such as innovative ways of communicating science, the connection between open data and citizen science, experiences in creating repositories in both countries, and sharing open educational resources.
The National Scientific Computing Unit of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCCN Unit) is a member of the Organizing Committee. During the event, participants will present 10 papers, 39 Pechas Kuchas (short presentations of approximately 7 minutes), 54 posters, one panel, and one workshop.
