From September 28th to 30th, the FCT FCCN Unit organizes the RNCA 2021 Meeting.
The event aims to raise awareness of the National Advanced Computing Network and its resources, as well as share training opportunities and user experiences on RNCA platforms with users and the research and innovation communities.
THE RNCA It brings together infrastructure, human resources, and partnerships related to Advanced Computing in Portugal, in conjunction with international initiatives. Its mission is to promote advanced computing services to users and research and innovation communities in Portugal.
The RNCA 2021 Meeting will be an online 100% event, over 3 mornings, organized by FCCN, with the support of several RNCA partners and inspired by the 3 pillars of the National Strategy for Advanced Computing published in 2019, promoted by INCoDe.2030 – National Initiative in Digital Skills.
The event is aimed especially at RNCA users and partners but is open to anyone interested in learning more about High Performance Computing (HPC).
Over the course of the three mornings of the event, several topics will be covered, distributed as follows:
Morning 1 – Infrastructure: Advanced Computing in Portugal. What is the RNCA? And Deucalion? Presentation of the centers and platforms.
Morning 2 – Info-structure: Training Opportunities in Advanced Computing: National and European Offer. EuroCC Project.
Morning 3 – People: Research & Innovation at the RNCA. Access competitions. Sharing experiences and use cases. Roundtable discussions between centers and users.
