From 28 to 30 September, the FCT's FCCN Unit organises the RNCA 2021 Meeting.
The event aims to raise awareness of the National Network for Advanced Computing, its resources, as well as sharing training opportunities and also experiences of using RNCA platforms, to users and the research and innovation communities.
RNCA brings together infrastructures, human resources and partnerships related to Advanced Computing in Portugal, in articulation with international initiatives. Its mission is to promote advanced computing services to users and research and innovation communities in Portugal.
The RNCA 2021 Meeting will be a 100% online event, over 3 mornings, organised by FCCN, with the support of several RNCA partners and inspired by the 3 pillars of the National Strategy for Advanced Computing published in 2019, promoted by INCoDe.2030 - National Initiative on Digital Skills.
The event is aimed especially at RNCA users and partners but is open to anyone interested in learning more about High Performance Computing (HPC).
During the three mornings of the event, several topics will be addressed, distributed as follows:
Morning 1 - Infrastructure: Advanced Computing in Portugal. What is the RNCA? And Deucalion? Presentation of the centres and platforms.
Morning 2 - Infostructure: Training Opportunities in Advanced Computing: National and European Offer. EuroCC Project.
Morning 3 - People: Research & Innovation in the RNCA. Access Calls. Sharing experiences and use cases. Round table between centres and users.
