Annual meeting point for the higher education and research community.

The Scientific Computing Conference is a conference promoted by the Scientific Computing Unit and already recognized as the main annual meeting place for all those involved in providing advanced infrastructure and services for the higher education and research community. Connectivity, Computing, Collaboration, Knowledge, and Security will be the main topics covered during the presentations, plenary sessions, working meetings, and workshops held over the three-day event.

The target audience of the Conferences are those responsible for IT and library/documentation/archive services at higher education institutions, as well as decision-makers, namely institutional leaders with these responsibilities, those responsible for implementing science and those responsible for research units.

In addition to a wide variety of sessions, demos, workshops, and meetings, the program also usually includes a social dinner on the evening of the second day of work.

The 11th edition of the Scientific Computing Conference has been postponed from 2020 to 2021. It will take place in Leiria, with close support from the Polytechnic of Leiria, in early November 2021.
