Annual meeting point for the higher education and research community.

The Days of Scientific Computing is a conference promoted by the Scientific Computing Unit and already recognised as the main annual meeting point for all those involved in the provision of advanced infrastructures and services for the higher education and research community. Connectivity, Computing, Collaboration, Knowledge and Security will be the main subjects of focus during the presentations, plenary sessions, work meetings and workshops that take place over the three days of the event.

The conference is aimed at those responsible for computer and library/documentation/archive services in higher education institutions and also at decision-makers, namely institutional leaders in these areas, science executives and research unit managers.

In addition to a wide variety of sessions, demos, workshops and meetings, the programme usually includes a social dinner on the evening of the second day of work.

The 11th edition of the Jornadas de Computação Científica was postponed from 2020 to 2021. It will be held in Leiria, with the close support of the Polytechnic of Leiria, in early November 2021.
